Mankatha which is Thala Ajith Kumar’s 50th film, has been the most awaited movie of this season. From the word go, the title, the casting, the changes in casting, the Director everything has been in speculation and finally the movie is about to hit theaters in June.
Though the date is not confirmed, it is most likely to hit theaters in the end of June or the beginning of July. Mankatha’s music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja will also be launched by the month of May of in June beginning.
The first look, later the stills, now the teaser of the Mankatha is getting a lot of attention from the fans of Ultimate Star Ajith.
Mankatha music will be launched with a single release, that is one song will be released before launching the entire album which consists of 9 tracks.
Mankatha’s theme song and the teaser released the music of ‘Vilayadu Mankatha’ song, which has become quite popular among the fans. The teaser has Ajith dancing to the tune in a club in his own style.
Mankatha Storyline
The film is said to be under the gene of comedy-action-thriller, a new format by Venkat Prabhu we believe, who has given us Chennai – 28 and Saroja.
Mankatha Story revolves around the plot of Cricket gambling during the IPL season. Most of the story takes place in Mumbai. The first half of the story is said to be happening on one single day.
Like Venkat Prabhu’s earlier outing Saroja, Mankatha with a tag line ulle veliye, is also a chronicle of incidents which takes place in a day and the output of events of that particular day.
Like the recent release Vaanam, this movie also runs with a multi story telling format, where each character revolves around this mafia gambling.
Ajith Kumar who plays the role of Vinayak Mahadevan has shades of negativity. Arjun plays a cop, who works on investigating the various gambling activities in the city, during the cricket fever.Trisha plays Sanjana who is the romantic interest of Ajith.
While the movie has an ensemble of cast, Ajnali role is said t be a prominent one, and so are Andrea & Lakshmi Rai ‘s roles who are expecting accolades for this character in Mankatha, after its release. Each character’s story will merge on this particular incident, which forms a closure in the climax. Andrea is said to be playing Arjun’s wife in the movie.
