Google Buzz is probably an attempt from Google to be in the headline once again. Well, they are in headline …but not for a good reason really. Firstly, for those who haven’t signed in to their ‘Gmail’ accounts yet, and do not really know what am I talking about here, let me give them a very brief intro to about Google Buzz.
Basically, Google have been seeing (and perhaps envying too) that Apple is making too many headline from its extremely cool products and also that Facebook and Twitter is attracting millions of users from around the world.
So, in attempt to get a share of their fame Google tried to jump, first in the mobile industry, and later in the social networking. Needless to mention both of its attempts faced quite a failure and we, the users, were disappointed in the newest, much-hyped products and applications launch from Google.
Google Buzz is actually inspired from both Facebook and Twitter. It mixes the Facebook ‘status’ features with many of Twitter’s features. Google Buzz is another chat forum for the Gmail users to interact with our friends (who are already added in our chat box and with whom we can always interact over there).
So, now that we know Google Buzz is offering us nothing new, the question remains whether Google Buzz is any threat to Facebook or Twitter. Clearly, Google Buzz is not even comparable to Facebook and Twitter.
We love Facebook because not just that we can put up interesting statuses but also can share videos and favorite webpages, and we will never leave Twitter because we have already fallen in love with it and also that we cannot follow so many people through Google Buzz!
